When did we forget to build beautiful communities?

I have no interest in living in ugliness.

Do you?

Why do we put up with concrete jungles with cars dividing everyone from everything?

If you are someone who feels the disconnect that modern urban design, you’re not along.

Post World War II our country made the conscious choice to separate people from their needs. Live in a suburb, drive to work, drive to school, drive to the store, drive to your friends. EVERYTHING must be accessed by cars, by design. The auto and oil industry designed our cities in order to make money not benefit themselves. Everything is loud and chaotic. Sirens remind us to be afraid. Engines drown out the birds. Roads are dangerous and ugly. Shit houses are millions of dollars. I could go on and on. But again I’m not here to convince you. If you feel me, let’s imagine a different way.

This Book called Happy City is a good read on the devastating effects of improper urban designs.

Let those who want to stay, stay.

But those of us who can imagine a better way, imagine hard. There is a better way to build.

There are better, cheaper and more natural and safe ways to build.

Imagine living back in nature without giving up modern comfort.

Seriously, I want my feet and hands in the dirt. I wan’t nature at my door step. I want to hear children laughing and birds chirping not sirens and accelerating trucks. But I also want air conditioning and a washer and dryer.

Build with the Earth

Natural earth insulation keeps temperatures stable year-round, reducing energy costs. These homes blend seamlessly with the environment, providing protection from extreme weather while maximizing land use. With modular designs, water recycling, and renewable energy integration, they create a self-sustaining, off-grid lifestyle—perfect for those seeking harmony with nature and long-term security.

Building with the Earth

  • Dome Gaia

Domegaia offers a revolutionary alternative that is both sustainable and accessible. Recognizing the urgent need for change, they’ve developed an innovative building method that makes low-cost, eco-friendly tiny homes a reality.

  • Wonderful Structures

Wonderful Structures is an Architecture and Engineering company, dedicated to the development and innovation of modular construction systems. We offer a wide range of innovative spatial solutions, made of the latest generation materials, which represent competitive advantages in the market, due to their creativity and beauty. We are direct manufacturers, experts in fiber reinforced composites & aerospace materials, and manufacturers of metal structures with state-of-the-art technology.

  • Biotekt

BIOTEKT is a unique combination of old and new technologies and sustainable construction methods: Earth berm construction, green roofs and walls, passive solar design, and prefabricated composite shells. In this beautiful synthesis we solve the problems usually associated with earth construction like high labor costs and intensive craftsmanship, as well as the problems with prefabricated housing, which are generally less permanent, lightweight structures. BIOTEKT systems are divided in two distinct products, ECOSPHERE™ AND OASIS™; both of them are based on a super-strong, insulated, composite shell formed by various shapes that can be combined to form an enormous variety of floor plans, with domed and vaulted roofs and straight walls. In the ECOSPHERE™ the shell is then covered with earth and plants to form a massive structure, and in OASIS™ it is covered with stabilized sand and a mixture of local materials. The shell is formed of lightweight components that can be quickly put together by a crew of three men with hand tools, and includes ducts for wiring and plumbing where necessary; it can be built over a simple concrete slab or over a basement.

Modular homes

3D-printed and prefabricated modules reduce waste and construction time while maintaining high durability. These homes are easily adaptable, allowing for scalable growth and customization. With energy-efficient materials and smart design, modular homes provide a cost-effective, future-ready solution for sustainable living.

Alternative Building Designs

  • Icon

In 2018, we told people we were going to 3D print a house and unveil it during SXSW in Austin, TX before we knew how to do it. Innovation is synonymous with risk and somebody had to take a risk. In partnership with housing non-profit New Story, we successfully delivered the world's first permitted, 3D-printed home in the world.

Fast forward to today, ICON has 3D-printed more than 180 homes and structures across the U.S. and Mexico. We recently unveiled a new suite of technologies and products to further automate construction including a radical new robotic printer that enables multi-story construction, a new low-carbon building material, a digital catalog for residential architecture, and an AI Architect for home design and construction. Together, these technologies make our construction technology platform a faster, more sustainable way to build high-quality housing affordably around the world.

  • BOXABL

At BOXABL, our mission is to revolutionize the standard of housing construction and affordability with an innovative, technology-based solution to mass produce homes using advanced manufacturing.

  • Koda

We are delighted to let you know that we are now about to start building KODA houses in the United States.

KODA by Kodasema® is an architecture-led sustainable housing solution both for individuals and property developers.

Prioritizing functionality and minimalist Nordic aesthetic, the houses are designed in Estonia – the world’s most digital nation – and have been engineered to optimize structural and energy efficiency requirements.

The world is changing rapidly. There is little reason to buy shitty homes in shitty areas separated by cars and traffic were nature in nowhere to be found. These homes are way over priced and not conducive with human happiness.

With modular homes and alternative building designs we can return to village living. Everyone can have their own space to retreat back to but has community and everything they need within walking distance. The basic idea is to buy land and then let your community build a domicile on that land. They will invest in the land and own that investment. But it’s all about freedom. If they want to leave, they can rent out their space and then return whenever they want or they can it sell back to the community.

These will be places of culture. A place for artists to practice and get paid for their art. It will be a place of culture, music, play, gardening, community meals. It will be technologically advanced. We will use AI and technology to assist with growing food.
